"The role played by people of African descent in America’s prosperity: Past and present contributions"
The Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy (CANRAD), in partnership with the Democracy Development Program (DDP) host a Black History Month Lecture that critically examines the pivotal role played by people of African descent in the economic, social and intellectual prosperity of the United States. The lecture traces foundational contributions, including enslaved African labour, to contemporary achievements across diverse sectors, while interrogating the structural inequalities that have shaped and continue to shape these contributions to American society.
