Vuyo Ndodana is an Engagement Intern at CANRAD and an Honours student in Maritime Studies at Nelson Mandela University. He holds a BA degree in Political Science and Sociology and has a keen interest on Africa's development, particularly in the ocean economy. He is an alumnus of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung’s Fort Hare Autumn School, which teaches social democracy and the political economy. He has served in various organisations, including the United Nations Association of South Africa, Amnesty International, and the South African Student Congress. In 2023, Vuyo was selected out of 8,000 applicants across Southern Africa to be a part of the Young African Leadership Initiative, for which he obtained a certificate in Public Management and Regional Governance. This flagship programme is facilitated by the University of South Africa in conjunction with USAID.
